Wrongful Death Lawsuit Filed Against TV Sports Anchor, Tow Truck Driver

A sports reporter and tow truck company are facing a wrongful death lawsuit filed on behalf of a woman who was fatally struck in Louisville, Kentucky.

The suit alleges that tow truck driver Matthew Good struck Fontaine Jeffrey before sports reporter Jeff Woods hit her, “dragging her several feet down Jefferson Street.” Woods fled the scene of the accident after discovering her body.

According to the lawsuit, filed by attorney Aubrey Williams, Woods's actions were “unconscionable, outrageous, repugnant and violated human decency.”

Woods has been indicted on one count of failure to stop and render aid. Good has not been charged.
