Wrongful Death Lawsuit Filed for Teacher Killed in Collision

A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a special education teacher who was killed in a head-on collision in Maine.

Amy Harris, who taught special education for several years at Hussey Elementary, was driving with her two young children when Cameron Claire, a teenager, hit her vehicle head on, killing her.

Her 4-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son have since recovered from their injuries.

The Attorney General's office found no evidence indicating that Clair was under the influence or distracted at the time of the crash.

Claire was ordered to pay a fine and serve 120 hours of community service. His license was suspended for two years.
