March 19, 2015
A family has filed a lawsuit against the 23-year-old who was driving the truck that fatally struck a man last summer in Chicago.
The lawsuit, filed by Nimisha Shah on behalf of the estate of Rajendrakumar Shah, charges the man who drove the truck for the hit-and-run crash and the woman who owned the truck.
Rajendrakumar was struck by a pickup truck driven by Michael T. Epley at 9:13 p.m. while visiting family in Tinley Park, according to the medical examiner's office.
Epley is charged with aggravated driving under the influence of drugs and failure to stop after having an accident involve personal injury or death, as well as various traffic offenses.
