January 20, 2015
A family is suing a nursing home in Louisiana on behalf of a man who allegedly died because of an accident.
The suit, filed against St. Joseph of Harahan LLC, accuses St. Joseph for failing to properly take care of Nicholas Dendinger, who entered the home's care after suffering a stroke.
Dendinger was hit on the head by a metal box covering a thermostat that caused a head injury on Nov. 16, 2013, which was not revealed until May 17, 2014 with an MRI. He died Nov. 16, 2013 allegedly because of that injury.
The family of Dendinger seeks damages for physical pain and suffering, medical bills, loss of enjoyment of life and loss of consortium.
